Welcome to 3 Kittens Needle Arts!  We are a full-service needlework store, serving customers for over 30 years.  We cater to knitters, needlepointers and crocheters with over 1000 yarns, hundreds of knitting and crochet patterns, a large selection of hand-painted canvasses and needlepoint threads, buttons and other accessories to make your craft more enjoyable, and many classes to stimulate your imagination.

 Contest Rules

  • Shawls and Shawlettes are eligible. If you have questions about the applicability of your item, please ask!

  • Shawls must have been started after 1/1/12.

  • You may enter as many items into the contest as you would like J

  • Yarn must be purchased at 3 Kittens – proof of purchase or approval of store owner is necessary if yarn is not purchased at sign up.

  • Shawls can be made from any pattern you choose.  If you choose to enter a shawl of your original design, you will be required to sign a document stating it is your own design when you drop off your shawl for display.
  • 3 Kittens will determine into which category your item will be entered. Categories may be added or subtracted at 3 Kitten’s discretion.
  • Items will remain on display from July 18 – July 23. They may be picked up after July 24.
  • 3 Kittens shall make every effort to protect your item(s) while on display at the store. However, 3 Kittens shall not be held responsible for any damage or loss during the contest.
  • Prizes will be determined and announced at a later date.

Sock it Up! Club

Our Sock It Up! Club was so successful 10 2011, we've decided to repeat it in 2012 - with all new yarns!

We will feature hand-dyed yarns in

exclusive colorways

shipped 6x per year (Feb, April, June, August, October & December).

Sock Knitting Master Class

This year, each participant will receive a copy of

Sock Knitting Master Class

to provide pattern inspiration for each new sock yarn you receive. We will suggest a specific pattern in the book that will best showcase each featured yarn.

Enrollment Fee: $28 (to be applied to your last kit in December)

Each Kit Price: $28 + shipping - or pick up in the store

Membership limited to 40

(After the April shipment, new participants will receive the Sock Knitting Master Class at a prorated price.)

Trunk Shows & Events

We have a number of trunk shows coming up.  As always, yarns and canvasses of the companies featured will be 15% off during the run of each trunk show.  Please call in advance if you are coming for the first day of the show to make sure it has arrived! Perk Alert: 3K Club members will receive an additional 5% on canvases purchased from any of our needlepoint trunk shows.

We carry our own line of patterns for sale.  We are working to have all patterns available for purchase simply here on our website.  You can check what's currently available at this page.  For all other designs, please visit our 3 Kittens Patterns page for photos and pricing and an order form.

Location

We are conveniently located in Mendota Heights, Minnesota - close to the Minneapolis-St Paul Airport - one mile east of Hwy 35E on the Northeast corner of the intersection of Dodd Rd and Highway 110.  To get to our new location, take 35 E south from St Paul to Hwy 110.  Go east on 110 to Dodd Rd (the first light after the freeway).  Turn left then immediately turn right.  We are in the northernmost building of the development straight ahead (The Village @ Mendota Heights).  For more specific directions, click here.

Guild Discounts

We offer a 10% discount to any guild member.  This includes local guilds (Minnesota Knitters Guild, St Paul Embroiderer's Guild, etc.), national guilds (such as The Knitting Guild of America, the Crochet Guild of America, etc.) and The National Needle Arts Association.  You must show your membership card to receive the discount.  This offer cannot be combined with any other discounts, including 3K Club Membership discounts.
